ROVERlution is a national dog owners' advocacy group adamantly opposed to restrictive laws and policies that serve to prevent dog ownership on the basis of breed selection or size limitations.
We support the right of dog owners to provide homes for their dogs without fear of discrimination or reprisal, specifically related to:
These discriminatory laws and practices have tragically resulted in the forced abandonment and unnecessary killing of non-aggressive dogs; a practice which shows complete disregard for the respected human-canine bond and denigrates the status of cherished animal companions to the level of pests in need of extermination.
Therefore, any lawmaker, agency or business that promotes breed specific legislation or other discriminatory polices has demonstrated their inability to act in accordance with factual information (provided by numerous respected dog behavior experts, national animal welfare organizations, and veterinary associations) and cannot expect the support of a compassionate voter nor expect the business of consumers they insult.
In taking action to prohibit the passage of breed specific legislation, a violation of our freedom to freely engage in the activities of dog ownership, ROVERlution:
Empowers dog owners in every city across the country to organize, attend city council meetings, and speak out against the proposal of breed specific statutes and ordinances.
Coordinates a city by city, nationwide annual Luv-a-Bully March to protest the adoption of breed specific legislation.
Enlists the partnership of other animal welfare organizations, dog rescue groups, and dog fanciers to build an effective political network and work together as allies.
ROVERlution is a call to action, as government and business practices are electing to infringe upon your rights, your freedoms, and your dog.
